Safe Dili Arts Festival

A community-based arts initiative that brings together artists and community members to promote safety and peacebuilding in Dili.

The Safe Dili Arts Festival mobilizes artists, musicians, performers, and community members to create a safer capital city through creative expression. The festival features live performances, art installations, workshops, and community dialogues centered on themes of peace, safety, and social cohesion. By transforming public spaces into venues for positive community engagement, the festival challenges perceptions of safety and builds social connections across neighborhoods. The initiative has become an annual highlight, attracting thousands of participants and demonstrating the power of arts-based peacebuilding.

This program is part of Ba Futuru's comprehensive approach to building a peaceful, positive, and productive Timor-Leste. Through interactive, human rights-based training models, arts integration, and community leadership strengthening, we work to create lasting change across all 13 municipalities.
